First came the twenty-four beautiful bookshelves, a desk, a chair, a credenza, vertical file cabinets, and art work from the late Colin Brown's home. Colin was a beloved member of the St. Mark's, Altadena community as well as an esteemed retired professor of systematic theology at Fuller Seminary. Thank you to Colin's family and to Nancy Rothwell for making this gift to the seminary possible.

This week diocesan staff and Bloy House faculty, staff, students, alumni/ae, friends, and trustees transformed themselves into a low cost moving company. With the much needed and appreciated leadership of Luis GaribayBernardo Lopez, David Cassio, and the loan of the diocesan truck, the contents of Bloy House, Claremont were moved to Bloy House, Glendale; to their new home at the Southwest Synodal offices of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Glendale.

Thank you to the Bloy House Moving Company!

Now that the initial move has taken place, Tim Reed will be busy working with Dean Gary Hall and with volunteers to prepare the seminary for its grand opening for classes on August 21. The seminary is especially grateful to the estate of the Rev. Dr. Colin Brown. Colin's home office and library contributed beautiful furniture, bookshelves, and art pieces making it possible for Bloy House to start its own on campus library and to better equip the offices. Many of the books for the library were gifts by Bishop Fred Borsch and Bloy House alumni/ae. The Rev. Dr. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook gave 1300 books that she hopes will help Bloy House students have resources they need in taking General Ordination Exams and diocesan canonicals. We hope to be able to thank the family of Colin Brown and Dr. Kujawa-Holbrook at an open house as soon as the Covid-19 health restrictions allow for it.

Thanks to Jon Feuss, Peter Carlson, and Bob Honeychurch, the library is in place!
