Lectures and Workshops
Throughout the year, Bloy House offers lectures and workshops designed to offer Episcopalians and other interested persons the opportunity to explore topics that may be of interest to lay and clergy leaders. These events are open to anyone seeking to gain practical skills to cultivate vibrant faith communities, to sharpen one’s ministerial tools, or to grow in one's personal spirituality.
Below are videos of some of our past lectures and workshops. Since participants usually pay a fee of $15 to join these events, we ask that you would also consider making a financial contribution to support the ongoing activities of Bloy House so that we may continue to offer programs like these to the public. You can donate online here.
Hope and Action: Small Abundant Churches On April 20, 2013, Bloy House faculty members, the Rev. Dr. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook and the Rev. Dr. Bob Honeychurch led an important and provocative discussion. This discussion was based on their research that was distributed at General Convention last summer by the Office for Congregational Vitality. During their discussion, they challenged congregations with an average Sunday attendance of less than 300 to redefine themselves in terms of their strengths, giftedness and vitality rather than their limitations.
